LUCKI – Okay, Copy!

Copy means message received. Nigerians hear it from security guards at estate gates, from police radios and from that one uncle who still says roger when you tell him dinner is ready. In offices we say noted. In friendships we say I hear you. The idea is the same, which is acknowledging an instruction without making a speech about it.

A person who answers okay, copy! is saying a lot in very little. It can sound obedient, playful or slightly sarcastic, depending on the tone, and the exclamation mark pushes it towards a cheeky energy. It is the kind of reply you give when someone is giving you orders you have already decided how to handle.

What I like about the title is the contrast. A formal, almost military phrase is dropped into the world of street rap, and the mix is funny without trying hard. It suggests a rapper with a sense of humour who is comfortable picking odd references.

For anyone who has ever nodded politely to a boss and then done things their own way, this will feel familiar. It is a small, human title with a bit of mischief in it.
