RUNDA – Happy Day Ft. Evado & Bad Boy Timz
Few titles say what a record wants as simply as Happy Day from RUNDA, with Evado and Bad Boy Timz on the credit.
A happy day in Nigeria has a clear shape. The light stays on, the traffic moves, the alert arrives and somebody calls with good news before lunch. It is rare enough that people announce it, and say “today na happy day” with a grin. The title borrows that feeling in two plain words, and nobody needs it explained.
The credit list is the other thing that stands out. Evado and Bad Boy Timz sharing the record makes it a three-name gathering, and the record sits on Okafor’s Law. Collaborations often suit a title about joy, because celebration is better with company. I will not guess how the verses are divided, and I will leave the details of the sound to the listener. Happy Day is also easy for a crowd to repeat, which counts for a lot at a party.
It suits a Saturday morning when the plans are loose, the sun is out and nobody has asked you for anything.
