Mr Thela – Soz’ubuye Ft. Sviej (Badlalele)

I would not claim a perfect translation, but the title reads like a promise that someone will come back. Everybody has said that sentence at a gate, a bus stop or an airport. It is what a parent tells a child, what a partner says before a long trip and what a friend promises when the night is ending. The words carry hope and a bit of worry at the same time.

Sviej is the credited guest, and the extra note in brackets points to the person who has played alongside the project. It is a small detail, but it shows the team around the record. I will not describe the beat or the vocals, since I cannot vouch for those details and your own ears are the fair judge.

It suits the moments when someone is leaving and you are trying to believe they will be back before long.
