Mr Thela – Impilo Emnandi Ft. Pcee & Campmasters

The title reads as a sweet life, and nobody needs a long explanation of what that means. It is the quiet satisfaction of food on the table, peace at home and enough money to enjoy a weekend without checking the account every five minutes. Nigerians have a phrase for the same wish, life is sweet, and it gets said at weddings, in prayers and at the end of a long month when everything finally works out.

Pcee and Campmasters are both recognised names in South African dance circles, so the credits alone give the record some weight. I will not describe the beat, the vocals or the production, since I cannot vouch for those details and your own ears are the fair judge.

Play it when you are looking at your own life and deciding it has not turned out too badly after all.
