BigXthaPlug – BURN Ft. Ava Max
Pop and street rap sit on the same credit line as BigXthaPlug brings in Ava Max for BURN, a track on the BETTER OVER TIME album.
A short word like that can mean very different things. It can be passion, the kind that makes a relationship feel like a fire in the harmattan. It can be anger, the slow heat of a grudge. It can also be the dramatic end of something, a bridge crossed and set alight so nobody can ever go back.
Ava Max is a pop singer known for big, bright choruses, so her name beside a Dallas rapper is a surprising meeting. Surprising pairings are often the ones people talk about the longest, because they make you wonder how the two worlds will fit. Nobody should guess the answer from a title alone, so I will not describe the sound, and I will leave the vocals and production for your own ears to judge.
It suits the hour when emotions run high and you cannot decide whether you want to dance or shout.
