Mr Thela – uMhleli Wami Ft. Boohle
Calling someone your organiser is a lovely way to say thank you, and Mr Thela does that with uMhleli Wami, featuring Boohle, on INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM).
I would not claim a perfect translation, but the title reads like a reference to a planner, a manager or the person who sorts things out. Every circle has one. It is the friend who books the venue, the cousin who handles the owambe logistics and the colleague who somehow knows where every document is. These people rarely get applause, yet nothing happens without them.
That makes it a charming subject for a dance record. Most songs celebrate the star on stage, so a title honouring the person behind the scenes feels fresh. It could also point to a higher power, since many people describe God as the one who arranges everything. Boohle is the only guest credited, and the track sits on the album. I will not describe the sound, since I cannot vouch for it.
Play it for the person who always holds the plan together, and make sure they hear it.
