Gabriel Eziashi – Elohim Adonai

Promise

Names of God are never casual in worship, and brings two together on Elohim Adonai, from the Living Testimony album.

Both are Hebrew titles for God. Elohim points to God as creator and mighty one, the power behind everything that exists. Adonai means Lord, a word of respect and ownership that speaks of someone who is in charge of a life. Together they form a short declaration that says who made us and who we answer to.

Many Nigerian believers use these names in prayer without thinking about it, especially in churches that love Hebrew terms. They carry a feeling of reverence, the sense that you are addressing someone far greater than yourself. A person calling them out in a hospital corridor or on a long road means every syllable.

I will not pretend to describe production details or lyrics I cannot confirm, but a title made entirely of names suggests a worship record, probably slow enough to let each name sink in. Songs of this kind often repeat the names until the repetition becomes a prayer of its own.

There is something calming in that. When words run out, names are enough. By the time a friend asks you to send Elohim Adonai for their quiet time, you will probably know they need stillness more than noise.

Anyone who wants a calm space to worship will see themselves in the idea. It suits late evenings, early mornings and the silent hours when prayer is simple.
