Babyfxce E – Spaceship Ft. Luhh Dyl

In street rap, a spaceship is rarely about space. It usually stands for a lifestyle that feels far above ordinary life, whether that is an expensive car, a big win or a mood where nothing on the ground can touch you. Over here we would say someone is “flying”, and everybody knows it does not need an aeroplane. The title works on the same idea, picturing success as distance from where you started.

What I like is the contrast built into it. Detroit is a hard-working city with a tough reputation, so the picture of a person floating above all that carries a bit of drama. It suggests somebody who has seen the ground level up close and now wants to talk about leaving it. Escape is a theme people connect with everywhere, from the young man in Lagos dreaming of a better life to the student in Abuja planning his way out of a tight situation.

Bringing Luhh Dyl onto the record also adds a second voice to that dream. When two rappers share a song about rising, it can feel less like one man bragging and more like friends celebrating together, though how the verses actually divide is for the listener to hear and judge.

It is a good match for late drives, big ambitions and those moments when you feel the next level is closer than people think.
