Mr Thela – Sisuka’Kude Ft. Eemoh
Distance is the starting point on Sisuka’Kude, where Mr Thela is joined by Eemoh on the INTSIKA (KING OF GQOM) album.
The title reads like a statement about having come from far away, and I would leave a perfect translation to those who speak the language. The idea is easy to relate to. Many people move from small towns to big cities, from empty pockets to better situations, and each one carries a story about how far the journey has been. Telling that story in a single phrase is what makes a title like this work.
Nigerians love that kind of narrative. We celebrate the person who started with nothing and now owns something, and the sentence we started from far is practically a motto. Eemoh is credited as the guest and also appears on another track from the album. I will not describe the sound, since I cannot vouch for it.
It suits anyone looking back at their own path and quietly noticing how much ground they have covered.
