Xduppy – Job Paper Ft. Sleazy, Optimist Music ZA & Kabza De Small

Nigerians understand the weight of that phrase in two ways. For some it is the appointment letter, the proof that somebody finally said yes after months of sending CVs and waiting by the phone. For others it is street talk for money, the kind you can show to prove your hustle is working. Either meaning lands, and that double reading is what makes the title interesting.

Kabza De Small is the biggest name on the credit list, a South African amapiano figure whose presence alone makes people click. Sleazy and Optimist Music ZA complete the line up on this UMSWENKO 2.0 record. With that many hands on one track, I cannot honestly tell you who carries it, so I will leave the sound for your own ears to judge. A record called Job Paper sits comfortably in the working week, when everyone is either grinding or complaining about it.

Think of the graduate refreshing his email every ten minutes, the worker counting days to month end, and the person who just got hired and wants to celebrate loudly. Different situations, same feeling of relief. That is the audience this one is speaking to.
