Blxckie – cover me Ft. Bas

The title brings to mind the need for protection, support, and having someone dependable when life becomes difficult. That idea gives the track an interesting starting point, especially for listeners who connect with songs about trust, loyalty, and the people who remain close during uncertain moments. The phrase can speak to relationships, friendship, or the comfort of knowing somebody has your back.

Bringing Bas into the picture gives the collaboration an international hip-hop connection. The American rapper joins a project that places Blxckie alongside several guest artists, adding another voice to the album’s wider creative direction. Their pairing may also introduce listeners to a collaboration between artists working from different parts of the hip-hop scene.

As part of YENA, cover me arrives within a 15-track album that includes other collaborations with A-Reece, L.A.X, KindlyNxsh, and Usimamane. The project gives listeners a chance to explore different sides of Blxckie’s artistry while discovering how the featured performers fit into the larger body of work.

For listeners who follow contemporary hip-hop from South Africa and beyond, this collaboration is one to check out as the album arrives. Visit Dushiplay.com for more music updates and new releases.
