Khaya Mthethwa – Covenant Keeping God (Live) Ft. Oncemore Six

A covenant is a binding promise, the kind made before witnesses and taken seriously. In church language, the title describes a God who does not forget what He has said, who honours agreements even when people fail. For many believers, that is the foundation of everything else they pray for.

Nigerians know how much promises matter. Families hold on to words said at weddings, elders remind us what was agreed at the village meeting, and a broken promise can cost a friendship for years. So the picture of a God who keeps His word, always, lands deeply. It is a comfort in a world where people often change their minds.

The live setting adds something too. A congregation singing a line about faithfulness tends to sing it with experience behind it, each person thinking of a season that tested them. I will not pretend to describe production details I cannot confirm, but Oncemore Six on the credits suggests another voice sharing the testimony, which fits a theme that is rarely carried by one person alone.

That is what makes the idea stay. Faithfulness is not proved in good times, only in the long waiting. When someone says Covenant Keeping God after a hard year, they are usually looking back at promises that held when nothing else did.

Anyone who has waited for a breakthrough, or watched a prayer answered late, will see themselves here. It suits Sunday services, thanksgiving nights and quiet reflections at year end.
