David Dam – Goodness of God

Gratitude is easy to express when a prayer has been answered exactly as hoped. It becomes more challenging when life brings disappointment, financial pressure or the loss of something important. Yet many believers find reasons to remain thankful even when their circumstances are far from perfect. Sometimes it is the support of family, the strength to face another day or the unexpected help that arrives when a problem seems impossible to manage.

The idea behind the title connects with a familiar part of Christian worship, where remembering God’s faithfulness becomes a way of strengthening trust. Looking back at difficult seasons can change how a person understands the present. A challenge that once seemed impossible may eventually become a reminder of the help, courage and wisdom that carried them through. Such reflections can make gratitude feel personal instead of simply becoming another phrase repeated during church service.

Its place on the SEASONS album also fits the idea that life moves through different periods. There are seasons of celebration, seasons of uncertainty and seasons when a person must hold on to faith without knowing what lies ahead. Remembering past blessings can offer encouragement during those quieter periods, especially when the next step is not yet clear.

For Nigerian listeners balancing work, family obligations and the everyday cost of living, gratitude does not have to mean ignoring genuine hardship. A person can acknowledge how difficult things are while still appreciating the people and opportunities that help them keep going. That balance is important. The message speaks to anyone who wants to maintain a thankful heart without pretending that every day is easy, making reflection and worship meaningful parts of ordinary life.
