King OT – Mercy
One word that carries a whole prayer: King OT keeps it simple and heartfelt with Mercy, a title every Nigerian understands without needing a sentence around it.
Think about where that word lives in daily life. It is what a person asks for in the hospital corridor, what a defendant hopes for in court and what a debtor whispers before knocking on a creditor’s door. In church it is a request for kindness that has not been earned, and elders say it so often that it has become a form of greeting in hard times. Many families also give it as a name, a quiet reminder of what they were once shown.
That is why a plain, single word works so well as a title. It does not argue or explain. It simply asks, and everybody who has ever stood at the end of their own strength knows the feeling. It can also be a thank you, since people who have received mercy tend to speak about it with a lowered voice. I will not describe the beat, the vocals or the arrangement here, since I cannot vouch for those details and your own ears are the fair judge.
It suits the quiet hour after a long struggle, when you finally exhale and admit that you did not get here alone.
