Halle – So I Can Feel Again Ft. Chlöe

The title reads like the second half of a sentence, as though something had to happen first. You do this so that you can feel again. That small detail makes it more interesting than a plain statement, because it suggests a decision, a risk taken on purpose. After a heartbreak or a long dry spell, many people shut down their emotions to protect themselves, and opening back up takes courage.

Chlöe joining the record adds a personal angle. She is Halle’s sister and bandmate from Chloe x Halle, so having her on the song means two people with a long shared history sit inside a title about opening up. That kind of familiarity can change how a record feels, even if the details are theirs to share.

The track appears on love?… or something like it (Deluxe), and the phrase fits the album’s constant search for what love really means. Feeling again can be painful, but it is the only way to know whether something is real.

It is a thought for the day you finally let someone in after a long time of keeping the door shut.
