Gabriel Eziashi – Ikuku Ft. Ccioma
Some titles are mysteries until a friend explains them, and Gabriel Eziashi picks one with Ikuku, featuring Ccioma, from the Living Testimony album.
In Igbo, the word means wind or air. It is a small word with a big range, because wind in Igbo thinking can mean freshness, change, breath or even the invisible movement of the Spirit. People talk about a good wind blowing when things start to improve, and everybody understands what is meant without further explanation.
That is why it works so well as a worship title. Scripture often compares the Holy Spirit to wind, something you cannot see but whose effect you cannot miss. A person who has felt a sudden change in a room during prayer, a lightness arriving where there was heaviness, will understand the picture at once.
I will not pretend to describe production details or lyrics I cannot confirm, but a title rooted in the Igbo language suggests a record meant to reach the heart of listeners who grew up with it. Having Ccioma on the credits adds a second voice, and that suits worship that often sounds fuller when two people lead.
There is also a gentle poetry in how simple it is. Wind does not announce itself, it simply moves things. By the time a friend asks what Ikuku means, you may find yourself explaining the idea with a story from your own village or church.
Anyone who loves worship in their mother tongue, or has felt a change arrive quietly, will see themselves in the idea. It suits early mornings, calm evenings and prayer times when stillness matters.
