Affirm with Music – Beauty in This Moment

Beauty in This Moment is an idea many people understand but do not always practise. It is easy to postpone happiness until a target is reached, a problem is solved or circumstances become more comfortable. Meanwhile, small things happening right now can pass unnoticed. A peaceful room, a good conversation, a meal shared with someone or a few minutes without pressure can have their own importance.

Coming from the album Today Is a Miracle, the record fits naturally into a collection concerned with gratitude and positive awareness. The title is especially interesting because of the word “this”. It makes the message immediate. The focus is not on some perfect future moment. It is on the one already happening, with all its imperfections and ordinary details.

That makes the subject useful for people who spend too much time mentally living somewhere else. Looking forward is necessary, but constant anticipation can make the present feel like something to rush through. This record points in the opposite direction. It encourages appreciation before the moment disappears.

Its best setting may be somewhere quiet, when there is enough space to actually think about what the day contains. Sometimes beauty is not dramatic enough to announce itself. It is simply there in the middle of an ordinary afternoon, a familiar home or a conversation that turns the whole day around.
