Godswill Oyor – Journey in Worship, Vol. 3 (Album)
Some worship albums are built to be followed from the first minute to the last, and Godswill Oyor shapes one with Journey in Worship, Vol. 3, a sixteen-track project featuring Daniel Ojo.
The title tells you how to listen. A journey has a beginning, a middle and an end, and the Vol. 3 tag shows it follows earlier chapters, which usually means people came back for more. Nigerians know that rhythm well. A long prayer meeting starts slowly, deepens over hours and closes with a final song when everybody is tired and thankful.
What I find interesting is how the track list follows that shape. It opens with Intro, then moves to a promise in I will bless you oh Lord and into repentance with A broken and a contrite heart and the two spoken parts of Psalms 51. Along the way come Heart Cry in two versions, the honest warning of Pharisee, the hunger of Desperate for you and the calm picture of This is the air I breathe. Lord I’m Amazed (Mercy) also appears in two cuts, followed by Isaiah, and the project ends on the glory songs Ogo, Ogo (Extended) and Ogo/Hallelujah. That is a full service, from the first quiet minutes to the final shout.
The recurring Extended versions are worth noticing. I will not describe production details I cannot confirm, but giving the same song a longer cut suggests moments worth staying in, the way a vigil lets a chorus run until the room settles. Having Daniel Ojo credited on every track also points to one steady partnership from start to finish, like a worship leader and a co-leader sharing the same platform all night.
There is a small contrast too. The project begins with repentance and ends in praise, which is how many testimonies actually go. By the time a friend asks what Journey in Worship, Vol. 3 is like, you may find yourself describing a whole night of prayer in a few sentences.
Anyone who prefers worship that unfolds slowly, with space for reflection, will find something familiar here. It suits all night prayers, quiet mornings and long drives when you have hours to give.
