Russ Millions – PAY FOR IT
Nothing in life is free, and every street rapper knows it. PAY FOR IT is the title Russ Millions chose for this track on OOAK Vol. 3.
It sounds like a statement about consequences. Somebody does something, and sooner or later the bill arrives. That bill could be money, trust, respect or even freedom. It is a simple idea, but it covers a lot of ground, from careless spending to wrong moves in relationships and the streets.
Nigerians understand this better than most. We say there is no free lunch, and our parents never stop reminding us that every action has a price. Whether it is a boy chasing quick money or a man who ignored good advice, the conversation always ends at the same point: somebody has to settle the account.
Russ Millions is a London rapper, and a title like this fits the straight talking people expect from drill. On OOAK Vol. 3 it adds a serious, almost warning tone to the project, the kind of idea that works whether the rapper is addressing an enemy or reflecting on his own choices.
The strongest part of the title is how personal it is. Everyone has a debt they did not see coming, financial or emotional, and the phrase sits right on top of that nerve. It leaves you thinking about what you owe and who is waiting to collect.
